365: Day 137

18 May

The new Handprint office is lovely, and the window outside of our office has this view…aren’t we lucky?! It’s beautiful when the sun is setting…

365: Day 136

18 May

Another trip to Westfield…this time with the boy in tow, for dinner. I paid.

365: Day 131

18 May

Rooftops give way to dreaming. It’s a slightly different view to my own window, but the boy’s window still offers me fuel for my imagination, and if I ever need air, I pop the window open and stick my head out. Little things. It’s always the little things.

365: Day 128

18 May

This was the fateful day when I found myself in the middle of Westfield in Stratford…and decided to go on a little shopping trip, treating myself. Those spontaneous trips are fun, but I find that I lose my willpower very quickly, and so it’s not too wise for me to go shopping by myself too often…or I will most certainly be falling out with my bank account!

365: Day 127

18 May

This was a lovely evening, spent besides the docks, for a friend’s birthday. I love discovering new places in London, and this was certainly a great discovery. Will definitely be returning to St. Katherine’s Docks…and it will make it’s way onto my 100 Things I Love About London list…

365: Day 123

5 May

On Wednesday, the boy and I decided to take a little evening trip to Westfield in Stratford. For those who are not familiar with it, it’s the new, massive shopping centre (mall), next to the Olympic site in Stratford, London. Each time we’ve been, recently, we’ve been able to see the development of the site, and what began as something that looked like it would stick out like a sore thumb, well, I’m pleased to say that it is looking just a little bit pretty now – the most at night time. There are so many lights, and I like lights. They twinkle in the dark. The closer we’re getting to the Olympics, the more my attitude is changing. We were hoping to escape from London, but we (the boy and I) are now staying, and actually getting a little excited. London is going to be buzzing. Busy, yes, but buzzing.

365: Day 118

28 Apr

Yesterday was a busy day; and it ended in a night wherein I attended two social events! The first was a social meet-up, for D/deaf and hearing people, that is a casual and informal way to practice sign-language and meet new people. For us (the big sis and I), it is partly to keep up with our signing skills, partly to help and support learners of BSL, and partly because, well, it’s fun and we get to meet and socialise with new people. Always a good thing, especially when it involves the use of sign-language, as opposed to trying to lipread new people. Then, afterwards, I headed on out for a birthday celebration…a handful of Instagram photographs will be coming soon… I hope you all had a great Friday!

365: Day 109

23 Apr

Matilda. On stage. It’s wonderful. This mug came home with us, and we all love it. I think it’s my new favourite mug at the moment…

365: Day 108

23 Apr

On Tuesday, after my rehearsal with Handprint, I decided to walk through the park after catching the tube and bus. I got off the bus a few stops early, and just walked, worshipped the sunshine, snapped away with my camera, and fed my heart some nature. Perhaps long commutes in London aren’t so bad if they can end in a walk through the park? I think I’ll do it more often.

365: Day 104

23 Apr

The Friday before last, I went on a photo shoot day out in London, with the lovely Murat. He wanted some photographs to put in his acting/dancing portfolio, so we hopped from various locations, shooting all day. Some of the photographs will find their way onto here…so hold tight. And I love deckchairs in London!
